FAAM Group, born as individual society in 1974, transformed in limited partnership society in 1978 and then in 1982 in joint stock company, is one of most important Company for batteries and electrical vehicles.
FAAM’s consolidated sales of 2007 is 65 million €, which the 60% is made in Italy and 40% is made with export. Human resources employed at the date of 31st of December 2006 were 300 units. Group’s legal seat is in Monterubbiano, a little town in Ascoli Piceno province, but FAAM’s operational horizons are larger.
The FAAM Group is one of the most important realities in the world with reference to battery and ecological vehicles production. Nowadays, after more than 30 years, FAAM produces:- Starter Batteries, for cars, motorbikes, vans, trucks, busses, etc;
- Industrial Batteries
- Traction: tubolar, elements and batteries for forklift trucks, golf cars, electric vehicles, etc;
- Stationary: for manufacture UPS and alarm systems;
- Ecological Vehicles: electric trucks, bicycles, scooters, etc;
The attention to the quality of the products and to the environment development is proved by the UNI EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and EMAS certifications (first battery manufacturer Company in Europe to obtain it).
The FAAM group, with quality, effectiveness and total customer satisfaction as its goals, has structured its production and research sectors in four specialized and autonomous companies:
SBF - Starter Batteries Faam – Monterubbiano, Italy
The Starter Batteries Divisions produces lead starter and traction batteries.
IBF - Industrial Batteries Faam – Monte S.Angelo - Italy
It produces lead batteries for stationary and industrial use dedicated to European market
YIBF – Yixing FAAM industrial Batteries – Yixing, China
It produces lead batteries for stationary and industrial use dedicated to the Asian market
EVF - Ecological Vehicles Faam – Monterubbiano, Italy
It is the most significant outcome of FAAM’s Research and Development Sector, and it produces ecological vehicles for civil and industrial use.
